2 Tools to Track Brand Visibility in AI Answers: Otterly.ai vs AURALIS (for teams of different sizes and depth needs). An honest split.
| AURALIS | Otterly.ai | |
|---|---|---|
| AI engines covered | ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity (all 4 deep) | Strongest on ChatGPT and Perplexity, others partial |
| Free public tier | Yes - Aura Check | Limited free trial |
| Starting price | 29 USD per month | Startup friendly |
| Verbatim answer logs | Default | Partial |
| Citation depth | Full citation map with DA and sentiment | Citation list, lighter enrichment |
| Competitor benchmark | Up to 20 on Scale | Built in, lower cap |
| Agency white-label | Scale tier and above | Roadmap |
AURALIS dives deeper into all four major AI engines right from the start. Citation maps include domain authority and sentiment enriched data to use it productively, not just to read it. Answer logs with the full and unaltered answer are logged by default to be able to debug fast and sufficient when sentiment changes.
We have found Otterly.ai to be useful for small marketing teams. As mentioned above the UI is great, pricing is reasonable for the quality of data provided and the set up process is swift. For solo marketers/marketers in small teams (2 people or less) tracking a single brand Otterly.ai is a fair starting point. The depth of data provided by Otterly starts to become a limitation when you need to compare against 5+ competitors, or need full citation CSV's for outreach.
This sounds like fairly friendly software. As before, I'm not looking at price in isolation, but instead that in relation to depth and breadth of coverage that the software affords. AURALIS Starter (web) costs $29/month whilst Otterly (web) is similarly priced.
AURALIS is geared for agencies that have multi-tenant work spaces, white-label options and automated monthly client reports. In contrast, Otterly is more user friendly for in-house teams managing one or two brands. Thus, if you are an agency, AURALIS is the better option.
