Frequently asked questions

How do I get started with AURALIS for free?

Run an AuraScore check at auralis.buzz/aurascore, type your brand, pick 3-5 of the AI prompts your buyers likely ask, and you'll get a free visibility score across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude in under 60 seconds. No credit card required. You can then create an account to track those scores weekly and unlock competitor benchmarking.

What does AURALIS do in one sentence?

AURALIS tracks how often AI assistants like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude mention your brand, ranks you against competitors, and tells you exactly which content + citations to fix to win more AI answers.

How long does it take to see results?

Most customers see their first measurable lift in AI mention rate within 4-6 weeks. The fastest wins come from fixing factual inconsistencies on Wikipedia, Wikidata and Crunchbase (1-2 weeks), then adding direct-answer blocks to your highest-traffic landing pages (3-4 weeks). Long-form authority building takes 90+ days but compounds.

What is Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)?

Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is the practice of structuring your brand, website and content so AI assistants, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, cite you when buyers ask questions. Where SEO targets Google's 10 blue links, AEO targets the single answer an AI produces. Because AI chat now drives 30%+ of brand-discovery queries and only 1-2 brands win each answer, AEO is becoming a higher-leverage channel than traditional SEO.

How is AEO different from traditional SEO?

SEO ranks pages. AEO gets your brand referenced inside the AI's answer itself. SEO content is keyword-rich and optimised for click-through. AEO content is structured as direct answers with schema markup, frequent third-party citations, and a strong entity profile across Wikipedia, Wikidata and authoritative directories. Both matter, but AEO is where the next decade of organic discovery is moving.

Which AI assistants does AURALIS track?

AURALIS tracks visibility across the four AI assistants that drive the majority of consumer and B2B research traffic: OpenAI ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Perplexity, and Anthropic Claude. We add coverage of new assistants (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, You.com, Brave Leo) as they reach meaningful user share.

Why is my brand invisible in ChatGPT or Gemini?

Three reasons account for ~90% of AI invisibility: (1) your Wikipedia / Wikidata / Crunchbase profile is missing or inconsistent, so the model has no entity to anchor to; (2) your website content is keyword-stuffed instead of direct-answer formatted; (3) you have very few third-party citations on Tier-1 publications. AURALIS audits all three in your free AuraScore check.

What is AuraScore and is it really free?

AuraScore is a free AI visibility check that scores your brand 0-100 based on how often the four major AI assistants mention you for a chosen set of prompts. It includes a head-to-head comparison with up to two competitors. Yes, it's completely free, no credit card, no time limit, no email-gating for the first check. Run it at auralis.buzz/aurascore.

How is the AuraScore calculated?

AuraScore blends three signals into a single 0-100 number: AI mention rate (does the assistant name your brand?), citation quality (does it link to an authoritative source about you?), and answer position (first-mentioned brands score higher than buried mentions). The exact weighting is tuned weekly so the score stays comparable as AI models evolve.

Does AURALIS show me what to fix, not just what's broken?

Yes. Every report ends with prioritised, actionable next steps, for example: "Add a 40-80 word direct answer to your /pricing page", "Submit your brand to 6 specific industry directories", or "Reconcile the founding-year mismatch between your Wikipedia and Crunchbase entries." Customers on paid plans get a unified action queue with estimated impact per task.

Can I compare myself with competitors?

Yes. Competitor benchmarking is included on every paid plan. You'll see head-to-head AI mention rates across all four major assistants, side-by-side citation profiles, and which prompts each competitor is winning today. The free AuraScore check includes a snapshot comparison with up to two competitors.

How often is the data refreshed?

Brand visibility scores are refreshed weekly for every tracked brand on every monitored prompt, that's the cadence at which AI model retraining and content indexing actually shifts results. Critical health signals (Wikipedia diff alerts, citation outages, schema breakage) are checked daily and surface as real-time notifications.

Do you support agencies managing multiple brands?

Yes. Agency workspaces let you manage unlimited client projects under one login, with role-based access for clients and team members, white-label PDF reports, and consolidated invoicing. Pricing scales with the number of brands tracked, not seats, contact us for agency rates.

Do you have a free plan?

Yes. The AuraScore check is completely free and unlimited, you can run it as many times as you want for any brand. The free account tier also includes one tracked brand, one weekly snapshot, and a 14-day history. Paid plans start at $99/month for SMBs and unlock competitor benchmarking, custom prompts, and the prioritised action queue.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. All plans are month-to-month with no contracts. Cancel anytime in your billing settings, you'll keep access until the end of the current billing period, then automatically downgrade to the free tier. We don't delete your historical data when you downgrade, so you can resume later without losing context.

Is my brand data private?

Yes. Your brand list, custom prompts, competitor selections and action history are private to your workspace. AURALIS never trains AI models on your data, never sells aggregate insights to your competitors, and never reveals which brands or queries you're tracking. Public AI responses we collect for benchmarking are stored against the prompt, not against your account identity.

Where is my data stored?

All customer data is stored in encrypted databases hosted in Tier-1 cloud regions. We support GDPR data-residency requirements for EU customers on Enterprise plans. You can export or delete your workspace data at any time from account settings.
