Citation mapping - find what AI quotes | AURALIS

Map every source AI engines cite in your category

AURALIS for Competitor Audit extracts all the citations from all the answers your competitor provided in his space. This allows you to see the main references as well as the missing ones (e.g. reviews, press coverage, forums, etc.).

Citations are the new backlinks

Classic SEO was often evaluated by looking at the sites that link to a given page or site. The answer economy, as I have previously mentioned, evaluates sites from which you get quoted, ChatGPT recommends products by choosing from a small set of sites to read from to generate the copy. You get to be included in the answer (or generate the copy to be used in the answer) if you get listed on those sites. Never listed there and all your copy never gets used there.

What citation mapping returns

The Domain-level Citation Share in your Category view, combined with the Page-level Citations view for all your URLs, along with the Authority Score for the cited Domains and the Sentiment on the Citations (to see if they are Praising or Paining you)!

From map to action

The list for the map can also be auto-written. The list of top cited domains you are NOT cited on can be exported with editor contacts when publicly available. The angle that a source covers a particular topic can also be obtained. So in addition to creating a map, with the Press Engine you can write a story and then outreach to press in days.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the citation domains come from?

We just show a direct list of the AI engine's sources. We don't do any inferences or scrapping. Whatever the AI engine quotes we just quote it.

Do you track citation changes over time?

Yes. Every weekly study has a screenshot of the full citation set for that study (i.e. all references added, dropped, and which had their Authority Rank changed for that study in that week).
